There were some great performances this week in the NHL, with a couple of surprises and one proven opponent killer. The three NHL Stars of the Week are:
- Marian Gaborik, Minnesota Wild - picked up 4 goals and 4 assists in 4 games this week. The Minnesota Wild went 3-1 on the strong play of Marian Gaborik
- Mathieu Garon, Edmonton Oilers- Went 3-0 on the weeks with a shutout against the Islanders and then defeated the Coyotes and the Flames. Posted a 1.01 goals against average and 96.8% save percentage.
- Scott Hartnell, Philadelphia Flyers - He had 5 goals and 3 assists in 4 games, including a hat trick against the Rangers as the Flyers had a strong 3-0-1 week.
